Music & Family

     When I hear the word Family  I immediately think of the people related to me by blood. Now, my family is not super musically inclined- like my dad likes to play music while he cooks and my mom listens to music when it comes on the car radio. And I like to think that my taste and exposure to music has drastically increased during my freshman year of high school because I had downloaded Spotify and got comfortable listening to a bunch of new music, now I listen to pretty much anything and everything that I think sounds good. But anyway- getting back on track. Like I said, my family aren't the biggest music people, my sister plays the flute and I play violin but that's about it. Music & Traditions

 I listen to music everyday, and I love music but I don't have any specific traditions that involve music. My family is not a music-centered family. I mean, sure we listen to Christmas music in December but we don't have any other traditions I can think of.      I have two top favorite Christmas songs that I listen to every Christmas, with or without my family around. The first is O come O come Emmanuel specifically by King and Country. I like how King and Country adds a more upbeat rhythm to this timeless song. This song always makes me think of sitting by the fireplace (my house has a wood furnace- but most houses don't). This song also makes me feel warm and relaxed.      For my second Christmas song, I absolutely love the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, but around the holidays I specifically love their song Christmas Eve.
